CREATE Dance Camp
For Ages 6-12

When: July 21-22, 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM

Tuition: $50 for one day, or bundle and save—$90 for both days 

Calling all young dancers! Are you ready to dive into a world of creativity and movement? Join us at CREATE Dance Camp, where the spotlight is on YOU as the dance creator! This year, we are introducing exciting themes for each day:

Day 1: Emotions in Motion (July 21)

Dress up as your favorite character from Inside Out! We will explore different ways to express emotions through movement using games and exciting challenges. Dancers will collaborate with inspiring teachers to co-create a dance film masterpiece that celebrates unique talents and creativity in a supportive environment. The final film will be edited and shared with families and friends!

Day 2: Elements in Motion (July 22)

Dress as your favorite element and explore the movement of nature through games and challenges. This day focuses on discovering the power of the elements through dance, culminating in another collaborative dance film experience.

Both days include a craft and snack to keep the creativity flowing!

What to wear/bring:  Water bottle, and a small snack, comfortable clothes to dance in.

About our instructor:

Nicole Kapantas has a BFA in Dance (Performance & Choreography) from Kent State University. She was Company Member with Inlet Dance Theatre for 9 years and has toured nationwide. Nicole has been the lead instructor in many residencies throughout the Cleveland area including Fairfax Elementary, Newton D. Baker School of Arts, and Westside School of Arts.  Nicole’s mission is to perform and create dance works at a high level of artistry and use her knowledge, leadership, and example to inspire and educate people. As an educator in the studio, she cultivates a warm, non-judgmental environment that fosters community and builds physical and emotional strength within those individuals who participate in this environment.  This then becomes the vehicle in which to create the art collaboratively.
